Managing Public Holidays in Brief Connect

Configuration Scope: Environment-Specific

This setting is environment-specific and must be configured separately in each environment (dev, test, prod). Changes here will not be included in configuration exports.

Overview

Public holidays are stored in a list and are used to ensure that due dates do not fall on public holidays, preventing them from being missed. Remember to add these every year. It can take up to 30 minutes for changes to reflect in Brief Connect.

Finding the Public Holidays List 1. Go to the Brief Connect SharePoint site. 2. Navigate to Site Contents. 3. Open the Public Holidays list. image.png

Within this list, you can add, edit, and delete public holidays as needed.

Adding a New Public Holiday 1. Click + Add new item to add a single entry, or select Edit in grid view to add multiple dates at once. image.png 2. Enter the Name of the public holiday in the Holiday field and select the Date. image.png 3. Click Save (or Exit grid view if using bulk entry).

The newly added public holiday will now be excluded from business day calculations when determining due dates.

Editing an Existing Public Holiday 1. Locate the holiday in the list and select it. 2. Click Edit. image.png 3. Modify the details as needed and click Save.

Deleting a Public Holiday 1. Locate the holiday in the list and select it. 2. Click Delete. image.png 3. The deleted date will no longer be considered a non-business day in Brief Connect.
