PDF pack and snapshot content order

Brief Connect uses the following sequence for documents inside a PDF pack or snapshot.

1. Coversheet

The coversheet is the first component of the briefing pack. It serves as an introductory page containing high-level information about the record.

2. Original correspondence

Original correspondence appears after the cover sheet when the record contains it.

3. Primary documents

Primary or department work documents follow the order set on the record. If a signed copy corresponds to a primary document, the signed copy replaces the unsigned document in the same position.

4. Endorsements

The endorsements section appears next. It consolidates all endorsement-related details associated with the record.

5. Attachments

Attachments follow the order set on the record. If a signed copy corresponds to an attachment, the signed copy replaces the unsigned document in the same position.

6. Other signed documents

A signed document that Brief Connect cannot associate with an original primary document or attachment appears at the end of the PDF.

Excluded documents

Supporting documents are not included as pages in PDF packs or snapshots. Their sensitivity labels can still affect the security classification shown on the PDF cover sheet.

This sequence describes document order inside a generated PDF. It does not control the order of entries in the snapshot history.
