Summary

This release includes fixes for the below items, raised by the DWER team. There are both bugfixes and requirements included in this release.

Deployment steps (in order)

  1. Deploy Release 27 for Deploy Brief Connect App and Config release pipeline in Azure DevOps to the target environment.
  2. Deploy Release 20 for Deploy Office Resources release pipeline in Azure DevOps to the target environment.

Manual post-deployment steps

  1. Log into the target Brief Connect environment as an admin user. Open the Admin Panel (the /adminPanel page, e.g. https://briefconnectdwerwa-cdne.azureedge.net/#/adminPanel is the dev url)
  2. Import and apply new config via AdminPanel: Active Configuration v250701.1-config.zip (ensure latest config is selected before clicking apply)
  3. In AdminPanel in your target environment, select Update SharePoint Content Types button from the menu bar. Ensure that Active Configuration UPDATE HERE (Active) is selected from dropdown first.
  4. In the browser console via Developer Tools, run the command window.clearCache(). Example: image.png
  5. Reindex site
  6. Go to SharePoint Site
  7. Go to Site settings
  8. Go to Search and offline availability
  9. Click Reindex site
  10. Run the Smoke tests below

v250701.1 Smoke Tests

  • Confirm that a user without a named role on a record and without Admin or Business Admin rights to a record, cannot access a newly created record with Official Sensitive value in the Information Security Classification field
  • Confirm that the new Migrated Record field is now read-only for users in the record creation process
  • Confirm that the following actions taken by users now have prefilled due dates based on corresponding key dates
    • From Triager > Drafter corresponds to key date: Due Date with Accountable Officer
    • From Accountable Officer > Quality assurance officer corresponds to key date: Due date with Approver
    • From Quality Assurance Officer > Approver corresponds to key date: Due Date with Decision Maker
  • Confirm that the proxy date expiry email links now link user to their dashboard settings pane as opposed to their dashboard homepage
  • Confirm that the copy details to clipboard option from the 'I want to' menu has been removed
  • Confirm that when the Decision Maker makes a decision but does not leave a comment, the comment box in the notification says 'No comment'
  • Confirm that you are able to take a record through the closing process, and have the closed record information accurately reflected from the dashboard
  • Confirm that Organisation level 1 is now a mandatory field
  • Confirm that the records in progress dashboard card is updating correctly for all new records. This will not update for old records
  • Export the Search Schema from the site and compare it with this file. They should match!

  1. Deploy backup of SearchConfig to SP Site: SearchConfiguration (8).xml

Known issues

The following defects are still under active resolution as of 24 June, 2025. Please review each item for workarounds if applicable - For Bug 65820 - 'Act by date' is still not populating in the dashboard. This fix is ongoing. - Initiator label is not displaying correctly in UI on record initiation. This fix is also in progress.
